Chris Cantwell:

I was so excited to be part of Our Footloose Remake. Working on this with the brothers at Ghostlight was one of the hardest things I’ve ever shot. All over one night—every practical effect, every new set up—it nearly killed us. You can see the sun just starting to rise on the final shot.

But we pulled it off. I’m very proud of this. For reference, this is Scene 53 from from Footloose—the climactic scene where Ren and Willard finally confront their bully tormentors.

With Nick Clark, Evan Gaustad, Matt Wyatt, Will Hutson, Dan Kent, Brendan Joyce, Eric Toms, Hesley Harps, and Jessica Thompson. Cinematography by James Codeglia. Camera assistance by Brad Conlin. Editing by Dave Codeglia. VFX by Ghostlight.

When Chris showed this to me a few months ago, I think my jaw hit the floor of his office. Watch it. It’s amazing.
