I wanted to give a quick plug to Alex Gollner’s great Finat Cut Pro closing credits plugin. If you’re ever used Final Cut’s horrible and useless built-in end credits plugin, you know how frustrating it can be to make your own good-looking closing scroll in FCP. Alex’s plugin gives you much more flexibility and formatting options than in the native generator, and while it’s not quite as robust as options from companies like BorisFX, it happens to be completely free. I’ve been cooped up in the office getting screener DVDs of The Rig ready all afternoon, and I probably would have killed myself if I had been forced to do our temp end titles with the native fcp option.
