Oleg Kvasha - Zelenoglazoe Taksi
I’ve often thought about moving to Russia and becoming a nouveau riche industrialist. Clearly such a thing is possible, yes? You just need to know who to bribe, where to invest your money, and what color you want your dacha to be in the countryside. I’m pretty smart, I could probably figure that all out in a matter of weeks. From there it’s a few trips to the amalgamated ugly silk shirt & fur coat store, a stop by the Mercedes dealership, and of course, this song playing on your home stereo. That’s when the real fun begins. Massive investments in art that won’t be worth a damn in a decade, failed forays into new ventures, and whoops, the company is the target of a hostile takeover by the Chinese. After that, when the women are gone and the vodka has run out and the coke dealers are hot on my trail for the money I owe them, maybe I’ll wonder where it all went wrong. But that’s capitalism for you, comrade. No one said it was going to be easy (or pretty, or particularly satisfying). Dosvedanya.
