Pepsi Next - Behind the Scenes at Coke Chase

I got a call on Friday evening of last week asking if I’d be interested in directing an online ad for Pepsi using characters from Coca-Cola’s “Coke Chase” Super Bowl ad campaign. It was a rough idea, and they wanted to shoot by Wednesday so we could finish it in time for the game. A week later, we ended up with the video above, and it’s really a testament to my great creative team that we were able to pull it off in such a short amount of time and have it turn out so well. The spot ended up being a lot of fun to shoot, I was able to cast several of my comedian friends as the lead characters, and they brought some humor to what easily could have been a pretty dry concept. All in all, a fun week, and I’m very happy with the end result.
